Does Freedom Still Lies In Wait

Does Freedom Still Lies Await?

A sombre song fills in the room
Of lark encaged down in its tomb
Did God push it behind this gate?
Does freedom still lies await?

No way to run, no way to flee
'Till when it suffers? Let it free
Did God curse it- this blurry fate?
Does freedom still lies await?

Its dream to rise, to fly again
Soon it will vanish, soon will end
It can't endure His fevered hate
Does freedom still lies await?

Trapped Melody, Rewrite
(A Kyrielle)

A mournful tune, confined and frail,
Whirls from a songbird's gilded jail.
Did feathered soul deserve this plight?
Does freedom shimmer in the night?

No feathered wings to pierce the pane,
No escape from sorrow's rain.
Will solace break this bitter chain?
Does freedom shimmer in the rain?

It dreams of sky, of sunlit fields,
Of whispered winds and vibrant yields.
Can hope survive this gilded blight?
Does freedom shimmer in the night?

The shadows press, the bars hold tight,
Will dawn embrace this captive flight?
Or will it sing its mournful strain,
Forever echoing, "Does freedom still remain?"

Whispers Through Bars, Rewrite

A mournful melody fills the air,
A dirge of dreams locked in despair.
A lark, encaged in iron bars,
Echoes questions to distant stars.

Did whispers divine seal its plight?
Or cruel chance spin this endless night?
Does freedom, a phantom in flight,
Linger just out of reach, a teasing light?

No wings to soar, no path to roam,
Just captive song echoing home.
How long must it suffer, unheard plea,
Till dawn breaks through, setting it free?

Is this decree by an unseen hand,
A whispered curse across the land?
Or does hope, a buried ember, wait,
To ignite flames at heaven's gate?

Its eyes reflect a fading sky,
A longing to climb, to touch the high.
But shadow creeps, a silent thief,
Will the lark's song find solace, or brief relief?

The bars stand stark, a cruel divide,
Between this cage and life outside.
Does freedom hold a whispered vow,
Or echoes fade, leaving emptiness somehow?
