*Written as part of the "30-Day Blogging Challenge ON HIATUS" Day 14 Prompt: You have 30 seconds to give a speech to the entire world population and after you finish, you will die. What would you say? I would hope I'd be eloquent enough to say something along the following lines: Few people know the exact moment they're going to die, but I'm one of them. (The "how" hasn't really been explained to me, so if you have young children at home or you are particularly squeamish or faint of heart, you may want to look away in case my demise is particularly violent or gooey.) And at this very moment, I'm not thinking about the people who have wronged me, or the things on my to-do list, or regretting all the things I haven't had a chance to do yet. Here, at the end, I realize how insignificant all of that stuff really is, and how much of my life I wasted worrying about the wrong things. I would implore each of you to realize the truth of this while you still have more than thirty seconds to live. Don't wait until your last few moments to start making the most of your life. Let go of your the things weighing you down and start making the most of your life now, while there's still time to enjo-- |
