A book to house all my Poetic Explorations |
With cream-white fur, with scar upon his brow, He's a gift from afriend, a loyal friend somehow. Chuck, the brave dog — with spirit bold and bright, Awaits the day in a Christmas shining light. When family comes — a joyful, bustling throng, He greets them all, with greetings sweet and long. He wags his tail and merrily leaps, He circles 'round and jumps up to their hips. He rubs his head against their legs with glee, A silent plea for love and company. He guards the feast with watchful, loving eyes, And barks a welcome, as their laughter flies. He sleeps beside the fire, warm and snug, Content to watch the world, a happy, furry rug. For in that home, where love and joy reside, Chuck finds his place, with family by his side. Chuck is a lovely dog given to me by my friend and co-worker. He's a creamy white color and has a scar on his forehead. He got this scar when he was younger. My friend told me that Chuck was bitten by a Husky mother dog (not his mother). WRITTEN FOR: "Love is in the Air!
