God vs. Science
Do certain biblical events have to be at odds with science? My answer is no. God's motives never change. He is multifaceted but always the same. Therefore, his reasoning and actions follow the same logic (even if he doesn't tell us what it is). The controversary story is The Creation. Here is how God and science can agree. First, when God said "let there be light" that can obviously be the big bang. God's word is so powerful, it caused the explosion that brought forth the universe. 7 days for God is not defined as the period of time it takes the sun to set and rise. After all, the story starts before the space time continueum and God was there before even that "he was always there, "HE IS" is a term for God's continuity. So dinasaurs existance totally fits. Lastly, evolution. God can do anything how he wants. Evolution is just a poor understanding "how". Nothing in the bible says how anything was created "aside from it being "his word" meaning he declared it would happen so it had to happen".
