Poems that feel a little off

High Anxiety
While hiking a mountain, feeling wild and free,
I lost my poor Daisy, among the tall trees.

Communing with nature, we breathed the fresh air,
but took a wrong turning, walked into nightmare.

The trail was hidden, the foot print was plain,
a giant impression, in muddy terrain.

Too long for a human, less wide than a bear,
It sure was a big foot, that greeted us there.

A roaring confusion, with fur covered brawn,
a terrified shrieking, and Daisy was gone.

I ran like a madman, chased after her screams,
she vanished with Bigfoot, it still haunts my dreams.
