PROMPT July 1st

Have you ever been the recipient of, or observed the kindness of a stranger? Tell us what happened .

This week has been stressful, to say the least. We have received so much kindness from strangers, so it is fortuitous this prompt should be the first for the month of July.
Our daughter has had a mental breakdown four thousand kilometres away from her family. She suffers from high anxiety and depression since her divorce. After trying to get on top of things in Perth she decided to move far away to Cairns Queensland. She said she was going there to make a fresh start on her own.
After only two weeks of being there things have spiralled out control. We have been in touch with her on a daily basis trying to give encouragement and support. However she decided that life wasn’t worth the pain and rang to say goodbye.
Since that terrible call we reached out to strangers and amazingly she was rescued and arms were wrapped around her. She is safe and lovely people are helping her.
We can’t thank these faceless people enough. My faith in human nature has been restored.

Well that said there are still people who are out to rip others off for their own gain. Our daughter’s uncle received a message pertaining to be from her saying she was in trouble and could he send $500 to get a flight home. Luckily he decided to ask me first before he sent money. It was a scam. Her phone has been hacked, she can’t use Facebook or Messenger anymore. I’ve spent a long time getting in touch with her contacts and telling them to ignore any any pleas for help from her.
The Yin and the Yang, the good and the bad. We’ve experienced it all this week.
