I feel So Alive With Christ.
For my blog

Take UP Your Cross

Prompt:
What makes you feel the most alive in your walk with Christ?

Answer:
I would say my life in general has improved with my walk with Christ. However, I feel the most alive when I am praising God and trusting in him. I feel the most alive when I know he is using me for his glory.

Prompt: “…there is no perfect ending.
Indeed, there are infinite endings”
Louise Glück
What do you think of endings, and why do they hurt, sometimes?

Everything changes. They also say that all good things must come to an end. In reality, everything seen is temporary. People die. Plants die. Animals die. Clothes and other items get old and decay. The earth itself ages and changes. According to the Bible, even earth will come to an end.

I think endings hurt sometimes because of the finality of the ending. As an example, even those of us who believe in life after death, are saddened when a loved one dies even if we think they are now in a better place or state. We are sad because we know we will never see them again as long as we continue to live. Parting is such sweet sorrow.

I have been on a sort of extended leave for both illness and class. At Regent University, where I am a student, the class changes every eight weeks. In other words, we do 16 weeks of work in 8 weeks. My Pneumatology class just officially kicked off last week, but it populated on Blackboard two weeks ago. I try to get everything done quickly, since it is pretty much learn at your own pace. I never know when I am going to be deployed for a disaster. If I am deployed I would be gone for two weeks. Missing two weeks of graduate school would mean taking an F. So I get through the main work quickly. I am now three weeks ahead of schedule so I can relax a little.

Dear God (E)
Who gifts better then God? No One.

. If you wrote a letter to God, what would it say?

I write letters to God all the time. They are like prayers. Sometimes I vent. Sometimes I make requests. Sometimes I confess sin. Sometimes I just praise him. Sometimes I discuss strategy for dealing with life’s issues. A lot of my letters to God are personal. I have a folder I keep them in. Sometimes they are long and sometimes they are short. Here is one for today.

Dear God,

Thank you for everything you have given me. Thank you for getting me through another day. Help me to get a good night's sleep and prepare my way for me tomorrow. Help me to feel better physically so I can do all the things I need to do. Give me the strength and energy I will need. Help me to eat the right things so that I can live healthier.

In Jesus ‘s name,
Marvilla
Amen

Prompt: Every new beginning comes from some other beginning's end.
Seneca the Younger
Write about a beginning that came from an ending.

The day a person graduates from high school is a good example of this, or someone graduating from college. A marriage is an example. For a plant to grow into a plant, the seed must first die in the ground. One generation dies and a new one is born. A new day will not come until the present one ends.
