Dear The StoryMaster and The StoryMistress ,

It is hard to believe that it has been 24 years since you thought of an outlet for people to share their poetry and stories. I have a feeling that this community has grown in ways beyond your initial expectations. Here is to another 24 years and beyond! Happy Anniversary!!

I am thankful that Writing.Com exists. I found WdC at a very low point in my life. I was home from an extended stay in the hospital, due to a serious illness. The walls were closing around me at home, and I was quietly losing my mind. My own WdC anniversary was August 15, 2022 (2 years ago already!), and time has flown by since then. I live in Lubbock, Texas, although I was born and raised in Michigan. I'm here with 2 of my 3 children.

I had seen Writing.Com years ago, and I hoped that the site was still around. Yes!! You are, and here I am, hopefully for the duration!

I love the warm and welcoming community that is Writing.Com. I've been welcomed and included without judgement, and have been encouraged in ways that I'll never be able to fully express. I've made several friends here, and in my opinion, Writing.Com has saved my sanity, as well as given me an outlet for all of the craziness that is in my mind.

Some of my favorite things are the trinkets I've been able to collect. I also like the ways that the site has been upgraded since I've joined. I love how you've made this a really friendly site, and that I'm able to find out answers to any questions I may have.
