As a reviewer of your work, I will first look for identification in what you are presenting. When a reader can truly identify with the writer, emotion sets in and the story becomes a part of the reader as well as the writer.
Unsentimental. I focus on the kinds of craft issues that will keep a writer from being taken seriously and prevent them from fully expressing their vision.

I am not an expert reviewer, but I have some small amount of talent in the field of writing. I will not edit your work, but typos, grammar mistakes, etc. will be pointed out if I see them. I will give you my impression of your work, encourage you, and do my best to review the work.
I'm honest when I review thing I'll say what's on my mind but at the same time I try to stay positive and will always tell you what you did right but this means in no way am I a professional reviewer so take my reviews with a grin of salt please
I look at the title, premise, overall structure first. Then I see how it makes me feel. After that, I might comment on little errors which are easily fixed.
Brutally honest, but fair. I will give my impressions of the main points: Plot, character, setting, dialog.
Then I will get into grammar, spelling, and typos.
I will tell you what works, and what doesn't.
As far as the star ratings go, I don't rely on them too much, but use them as a measure of an item's relative merit. Take it for what it's worth. Bottom line, my goal is to help the author improve their work.
In a single word, thorough. I will turn your piece upside down, shake the change out of its pockets and look at even the most minute details. I can be technical but will do so when emphasizing a larger point about the piece as a whole.
I'm picky when it comes to review, or shall I say not just how I review, but what I choose to review in the first place.
I will make an attempt at anything if you really want me to, but there are exceptions. If something is so riddled with errors that a spell checker or basic grammar checker would find, I have a hard time reading through it. And if I can't get through it, I can't give you a good review.
If I comment on grammar at all, it usually means I've identified a pattern of repeated errors, and I think I can help you fix them.
That said, I look mainly for Content, Theme, Style, Continuity, Passion -- NOT line editing or grammar checking.
In addition to the above, I tend to comment on what I think is missing, what can be improved, or something that I really like and want to see you keep doing it.
I attempt a well-rounded review where I look at the item from a writer's and reader's perspective. I'll tell you what I liked and what I think could be strengthened. I like to think I'm a courteous and helpful reviewer.
I like to always pick out the positive points in a piece, even if overall I am not enamoured by it.
I tend to point out grammatical and spelling errors.
I will be honest, but not unkind
I am no expert on anything. So I can only tell you how something makes me feel. My native language is also not English and I am not an American. So I might not understand culture specific expressions.
5: If I absolutely love the item and would remember it and even recommend others to read it by posting it in my newsfeed. I will also give 50 GPS+ if I have any GPs left in my account.
4-5: If I like the item, but not enough to recommend it to others and post the link in my newsfeed. No GPs.
3 -4: If the item is okay. I kept on reading it because I thought I might change my opinion, but the item failed to meet my expectation. On the other hand I did not find any grammatical or spelling errors in it.
2-3: If the item is something which I didn't get at all and found at least one grammatical/ spelling error.
1 -2: I did not like it at all and could not even feel like reading it to the last.
I will say what I liked about your piece and if I have any suggestions for improvement. My reviews are usually short, sweet and to the point. I prefer to review short stories but will look at poetry if asked to.
I like to point out the good parts of a piece of writing, and only mention faults if needed. I try to be polite and honest and but I don't review much so if you get a review from me that's a good sign!
I will be honest in all my reviews. I will give you both good and negative feedback, and I will not hold back on the truth. My main goal is for the author to take my feedback and mold it into ideas on how to better their writing.
