A Walk in the Amazon Jungle

A Walk in the Amazon Jungle

32 lines

Joe Lewis was having the time
Of his life
He had decided to take a trip
To the Amazon Basin
With the love of his life.

They set out
For a long walk
Encountering wild life.

Toucan and macaw
Joined the howling monkeys
high in the canopy overhead

In welcoming them
To their paradise.

They went down
To the river
Where they encountered
An escaped hippo.

The guide said
The hippos were becoming
An invasive species.

And there were rumors
That elephants, and lions
Tigers and wolves.

Had also been spotted
Deep in the jungle
Having escaped
From an illegal zoo.

he concluded
Nature was taking over
perhaps it was time

for the revenge
of the wild
against the human race.
