inadequate reaction to a horrifying tragedy
show me now the faces of the dead
those murdered innocents
life torn from them as they played
anger me
pain me
reconcile me to base humanity
sharing the voiceless and futile cry
cry for vengeance
for justice perhaps
for comfort where none will be found
not now
if ever
for pity
for pity's sake
show me no more
the faces of the dead
