48 hour Challenge writing prompt: Better When I’m Dancing by Meghan Trainor
The second the music came out of the radio, my feet were ahead of my mind. Making up steps as I went, twirling here and there with no rhyme or reason. This doesn’t normally happen when I listen to music. I might bob my head or tap my feet, but nothing’s ever made me want to get up and dance before. It felt so… freeing. No directions, no need to understand dance, no wondering if the steps I just took make any sense in Cha-cha. And when the song ended… I felt alive. Why, I still want to get up and boogie some more! Maybe I’ll listen to that song again someday. Give myself another chance to break free.
