Living With Depression and Acute Anxiety
The illness presses my mind and will into the muddy earth.
I fight with all my might to turn my head and catch a molecule of oxygen,
And use that miniscule fuel to remind myself of why I don’t just allow death.
It’s my love, never ending and undying love for you and only you.
My disease has sapped my love for all things, ‘cept you.
May I never wake up and forget that. For that will be my last day.
