Poem to my Grandaughter Alexis, 5 years old.
Lexi you’re my baby too

I met your Grandfather before

I met you,

He leaned over the pitchers mound

Reached back and threw

and the ball went straight

I went whew

So sweet and fragile you seem to be

Your name means defender

or

Protector you see

Love of animals is a gift to you

Your Father is my son and a good one too

Wisdom and Knowledge is

Your strength an power

Follow the Lord God, every day every hour

His light will direct your every step

Always be careful and let

Cautiousness be your safety net

Look above, God always love you

Hold onto your heritage

So unique with truth

On both sides of your family

It reaches around you

Your so beautiful and petite

Genuine are you

My sweet baby

Lexi LU!
