Something I had to write for English class from the perspective of someone who hates me.
Defeated brown eyes gleam through the dark,
Contemplating a thoughtless caustic remark.
Memories float listlessly, corrupting the air,
Poisoning the room with neurotic despair.
Crazily clutching carefully cultivated curls,
Trying to forget two malicious little girls.
Silent streaks of sorrow slaughter the soul;
Reminders of the harsh words out of control.
A bitter twist outlines a grotesque smile,
As sincere as the tears of a crocodile.
The false façade fades without warning,
Leaving a mere mortal in mourning.
The naïve optimistic radiance of youth,
Thoroughly extinguished by an unwanted truth.
