A poem inspired by the dreadful times in my life.
I lay aimlessly at night,
Listening to the wind and the rain
On the window.
They are drowned out
By the piercing shrieks
Screaming "No", and the drips from the ceiling.
Water or blood. Are they real?
Footsteps get louder,
screams more urgent.
Everything goes quiet,
And it all stops, the worls stops turning.
Just for a moment....
