When parents suffer from depression, a kid can see all.
I sit and watch
As depression sets in.
It pales your face,
And breaks the heart of all who witness.

Its not easy being you.
A lesson I'll never truly understand,
You are strength but need a rock to lean on.

Despite pain you go on,
Teaching me to endure all lifes obstacles.
It is from you life's greatest lessons are learned.
Between mother and daughter knowledge is passed
Like a torch an eternal flame
Connected by love and hard lessons.

I sit and watch as you go on
Showing strength amidst pain.
Saddness but enough spite to continue.
Will i be as stubborn?

I will sit and watch
But hope you can see
None of it matters
Except how great you seem to be.
