this is a poem dedicated to one of my friends at MIHS,who killed himself in April.
My Friend
Dedicated to Ben Shamis

My friend,
Why did you leave?
Why did you not say good-bye?

My friend,
We were all mourning today,
Mourning for you,
Morning for your passing.

My friend,
We all questioned you today,
We all wanted to know why,
We wanted to know why you left.

My friend,
Your death was bad,
But it brought us all closer together.

My friend,
Why did you leave?
What went wrong?

My friend,
If something was wrong,
Why didn’t you tell your friends?

My friend,
Why did you leave?
Why did you not say good-bye?
