A poem I wrote for a friend, kind of as a thank you note for being there for me
She knew I was hurt
She didn't know why
No one could help me
She wanted to try
She called me her sister
Picked me up when I fell
She stayed by my side
When life became hell
She made me laugh
We shared good times
She read my poems
And helped with the rhymes
She is my leader
She is my friend
When I'm with her
I don't have to pretend.
