Hope you guys like this, kinda depressing though.
Sitting by the fire,
In a rocking chair filled with desire.
The old man sits and ponders,
His life and its many wonders.
How the flowers grew in the summer.
The snow, the winter’s shelter.
And the love he had with her,
Ah yes, the girl that made him deeper.
Turned his heart and feelings to a river,
That flowed with melodies of heaven.
She came to him,
As Gabriel to Joseph.
To say everything would be accomplished
That they would love each other,
And their love would never be abandoned.
So they married along the way,
Never decided to have babies.
In a house they built their living.
A fire place to share their feelings,
Of their day and dreams,
Until that dreadful day...
The old man thought to himself silently
As he remembered back to his last peace.
Sitting there with his love.
Hearing her breathe,
As she spoke her last words to his face,
I love you, and that is all of me.
Then her soul faded away,
Leaving the man crying on his knees.
Thinking of their memories,
Tears slide down the old man’s cheek.
He gets up from his sitting
And says goodbye to nobody,
The crickets his only company.
His gun breaking harmony,
And ending his heartache.
