The mind and thoughts are endlessly incomprehensible.
I lay here and try to
ignore all the thoughts
that run in my head

There are too many things
screaming for attention
and I can't think straight

Fleeting thoughts of
life and death and
all that's in between

Love runs in and I
attempt to comprehend
all that it can mean

And now it's gone again
and try as I might I
can't retrieve that idea

Friendship and its many
hidden angles and curves
come and go again

I can't recall what I was
just talking about because
I'm lost in the maze of my own self.
