Pulled out of paradise.
This biting yet dull pain gnaws,
Chipping away the petals of me.
I fall to a million pieces
And am lost forever.
I stood in a lush, green jungle,
Hearing the cries of the animals
As I felt paradise.
Here, I crawl;
Clutching my stomach,
My head scrapes on the hard ground.
Blood drips in rivulets.

A rotten chunk of apple
Grows mold in my gut;
Acids corrode the lining
Of my heart, tearing away
At the purity of me.
Lost to the world,
I cry out with the voice
Of the forsaken.

Battling my way through,
I tear at the air around me,
Screaming in confusion,
As I dream of
An amused serpent,
Whose venom was suggestion.
