Written for my mother. Kind of corny, but it cheered her up when ill.
The Kindness of Angels

Soaring through the heavens,
golden streaks
upon the satin blue of
the midnight sky.
Do they know you’ve gone?
Fallen, but not far,
you enlighten us with
your eternal grace.
Our lives would wither
should you return to
your hallowed home.
Do not leave us.

Surrounded
by your unbounded love
we can know
true paradise.
Our mortal hearts
grow wiser.
Always love us.
