The Believer

And this is the way I sing at Church,
praising God with all that I am.
Voices singing
Music playing
And this is the way we worship.
And this is the minister,
come to bring us a message,
A message from his maker.
And as he talks, heads nod in agreement,
And when he ends,
heads bow down
hands clasp
for a prayer.
And this is the way he thanks the Lord for all that He has done.
He announces to the others, "The altar is open"
the people approach to pray.
And privately they thank the Lord for all that he has done.
And this is the way we worship our God,
praising Him with all our might.
We worship Him and thank Him for an eternal gift,
an eternal gift of eternal life.
And this is the way we have hope and faith,
with total trust in His mercy and grace.
And this is the way of a believer.
