~Echoes in empty rooms~
Once upon a time,
love dwelled in this house,
comforting every chamber,
consoling every room.

Long ago and far away,
I fed you all my love,
selflessly sharing with you
the gifts a woman gives.

I’ve sipped your drink,
tasted the pungent seeds
embedded in your heart,
and swallowed more than my share.

With love's open wounds
bleeding in my hands,
I've bowed before you with
mercy on my breath.

Your voice still haunts me,
endlessly echoing through my head.
I’ve been trapped in an uncertainty
that I cannot seem to cleanse.
