Have u ever thought about the feelings of a bird locked in a cage?
My life has lost its essence,
To give someone else his glee.
Still they haven’t learnt their lessons,
That birds are to be free.

Together with the blowing wind,
I flew up the wide sky.
With my sweet voice I sing.
And spread happiness thereby.

I don’t depend on a heart,
I have no fear about nature.
Yet at times with friends I have to depart,
Having no clue about my future.

In a cage, I am locked,
Unaware of the life outside.
My freedom lost,
Here I remain confined.

Looking up the sky,
At the other birds like me.
I end up with a sigh,
Wishing that I was there among them free!
