When I was 7 I would sit below a willow tree and cry, wondering if anyone loved me!
Weeping willows have one fear,
They only cry when no one's near.
Never hugged or kissed good-bye,
Life's so cruel but can't ask why.
Whispering softly into the air,
Demanding now, does anyone care?
No one hears their lonely cries,
The sad part is that no one tries.

Weeping willows have one song,
Soft gentle and eternally long.
Listen carefully to hear them sing,
But sorrows I'm afraid is all it'll bring.
The beautiful song you so long to hear,
Is the ever soft rhythm of their falling tears.
