A poem inspired by a dear friend.
I found my garden today.
It was a place, I want to stay!
The beauty shined so bright,
I knew without doubt, it was right.

I do not understand man!
And I don’t know God’s plan.
I asked the Lord for help.
He told me to look inside myself.

Inside, I found a helping soul.
Inside I found, I AM whole.
I surely am, who God wants me to be.
It’s not my fault that some aren’t free.

Jesus took me to the garden to see,
The soul he placed inside of me.
It was green in color, not in spirit.
He brought me here, to try to share it.

Not all are open, and some won’t change.
But if they would, let Him rearrange.
They could open the door, on which he knocks.
They would open the door. They would not block.

Indian, Black or White.
By skin tone we must not fight!
God made us who we are!
Therefore, we’re his shining stars.

I cannot help, who won’t help themselves.
That’s not saying God will put you on a shelf.
He’s waiting for you to answer the door.
His love abounds and awaits your explore.
