My first item here. Please R&R! ^_^
You spoke to me
words I'd rather not analyze
I gave just enough
so you couldn't tell

You held your stare from across the room.
I laugh and waved to you,
but inside I was trembling
Did you find out?

I hear whispers from the walls
sinking to my ears.
Whispers of love unspoken
but I didn't think to listen.

'Do not expect.'
'You'll only get hurt.'
'You'll only jinx it.'
I kept repeating

So I continued on,
without giving you the time of day
But my heart called out to you
needing you

Days, months, a year
My air was still you.
But time would be cruel,
no final words from us both

When in an unexpected day,
you were walking hand in hand with her
A voice came to me from behind
"He loved you so much.."

I stood there in tears,
staring at my lost chance in the arms of another.
I dare not take you away from her.
I dare not say I was hurt.
