There are some things that can't be fixed.
When the night falls
I hear your voice
echoing-
in the back of my mind.
You speak to me
in soft whispers and
imprison me
with your words.
When I reach out
to touch you,
my visions disappear
into the vapory air.
I wonder-
when did our love die?
When did it all end?
There was a time
when our love
consumed-
our every move.
We were one
in the universe.
You took me in,
made me your own.
We lived in our happy home.
Promises of love,
promises of a new day
turned to ashes.
I'm crushed by
a devious game that
broke the girl inside of me.
Why did our love die?
Why did it all end?
I have come undone.
I can’t get life back,
so I hold onto
faded visions and
imaginary dreams.
Don’t you see what you have done?
Don’t you understand?
I have come undone
and can't fix the pieces
of this broken girl.
