Memories of an inner child
“A Childish Desire”

As I sit here by this fire
I wish that I could burn
All of these bad memories
That is my desire

I remember when first they started
You told everyone
I just needed attention
Your daughter, you out smarted

I used to love to play with you
Oh Daddy, you used to be
the pulse in my heart
Now, just a bad memory, a skew

You said that it would not hurt
So why am I crying, longing...
And looking for love...
Feeling like nuclear dirt?

My heart reached out to many
They all rejected me
Told me that I lie
Now for no one I reach, not any
