a beautiful love ended
Written by Sugaree

Life Without You

My knees buckled as I boarded the plane
I knew our love was over
Amongst strangers, I cried like I was insane

One stranger sat next to me noticing my pain
She gently touched my shoulder
Explaining my happiness after this rain

I looked into her eyes, for she too had tears
She was remembering
That her love too had been over a couple of years

I looked out of the window, and there you stood
Waving at me your goodbyes
Hoping that I was okay and that my flight be good

As the plain took to the skies
My heart sank even deeper
And left me with so many more cries

The lady offered me a drink
Slowly as I swallowed
I began to think

Was I just your college fling?
Did you really love me?
Or was I just your plaything?
