Abandoned by grief
*Space**Space**Space**Space**Space**Space**Space**Space*alone
in the murky chaos of life
left behind by flesh and blood.

grief
hammers you at the oddest moments
seeking to break open the scarred wounds
you keep concealed

*Space**Space**Space**Space**Space**Space**Space**Space*alone
abandoned by those
who found no escape
from their jagged dilemmas.

grief
leaves you scrambling
though a labyrinth of turmoil
sometimes silent, sometimes screaming

*Space**Space**Space**Space**Space**Space**Space**Space*alone
an orphan
struggling in solitude,
like a fly creeping across a spider’s web
trapped in the gauze,
a snare that grabs your legs
and sucks you down

grief
does anyone understand?
