Part of my gratitude journal appreciating autumn leaves.
The reds, oranges, & yellows. The way color climbs the trees, overtaking the seas of green. Death never looked so pretty as the shedding leaves falling to the ground. The beauty of life and its circle of life and death. The leaves die so the tree may live on. The leaves fall around the tree and give nutrients back to the soil. The give warmth to roots, blanket the ground. Then in spring, new leaves sprout again. So every autumn, when the leaves fall and I hear the satisfying crunch under my boot, it reminds me of warmth and life.
And I hope you appreciate it too.
With love always,
A Hopeful Romantic
