A poem musing on the nature of who is wise and what we think wisdom is.
To sit upon a silent hill,
There talking to the sky,
You’ll see the world stand still,
And all the birds will fly,

In great councils sit the wise,
Counting out their wisdoms,
One and all of them in disguise,
Measuring out their kingdoms,

What good is it to think,
One is wiser than the rest,
For all of us shall shrink,
When put to this old test,

To measure out the sky in width and breadth,
And then, to truly understand its depth.
