My First Poem

EXHAUSTION

Bygone days, we've circled back,
Life once graced, now off the track.
What else to leave, what more to lack,
When all that's blessed now fades to black?

The roads we tread, the same old scenes,
Homelands unchanged, in between dreams.
A voyage rich, through life's routines,
With pages torn out at the seams.

Charred remnants, in the woods, so sweet,
In foreign seas, my quest's complete.
To distant shores, my heart's retreat,
At journey's end, I take my seat.
