Poem about my dear youngest granddaughter.
Layla

Your name is Arabic and Hebrew too.

It says everything to know about you.

Into the night we rest but then comes the morning dew.

Coming like sunshine just like you.

God blessed you with a mind that makes others jealous of so few.

You’re so smart and sharp like fresh brew.

It wakes us up with energy to sing and dance like you.

On to school you eagerly dominate Math and Sciences with English too.

The best of the best as excellence describes you. You’re so smart,

Others want to by like Laylalu.

Our Laylacan who’s a beautiful woman to boot so true.

Beauty that’s not only outward but inward too.

That takes us into the night and brings us into sunshine like sweet you.

Destined to be the first woman on mars who knew?
