Reflexion about it
Expectations. What exactly creates them? Why do we have them? We all harbor expectations about things and people. We anticipate having another day tomorrow. In some ways, this is beneficial. Expectations provide hope and a sense of safety, making us feel in control. Up to this point, everything is fine. The problem arises when our expectations are not met. We create a fantastic world in our heads, and when life delivers something entirely different, it can feel like a nightmare.

However, unmet expectations can also be seen as life’s challenges or surprises. Imagine if everything always went as expected. While it would sometimes make us feel good, other times, it wouldn't. Disappointment can lead to a loss of hope and a dislike for life. Yet, it is often during these times that we grow the most.

From childhood, we deal with expectations. We see our parents as superheroes, expecting them to be perfect. As we grow, we start to see reality and may feel disappointed. However, this disappointment is part of growing up. It teaches us that while we may get what we want, it might not come in the way we expected.

As the saying goes, we cannot control what happens to us, but we can control how we react to it. In the end, we can have expectations but must be aware that if things don't turn out as we thought, we can still find a way to move on and see the positive side.
