what does daybreak mean
a little slumber, a little going again
day in and out, it keeps calling in
a little quiet, a little noisy again

a street with few people
a street with many people
what's the difference? i said

it was time, time differed
for in a season, people came
for in a season, people left

what's the difference? i cried
time, my friend
time differed

for in a season they were
and in a season they were not
what's there to do? then

to let time come and let time pass
time has seen it all
from start to last

nothing has won
against it, Alas!
so what's there to do? i beggged

to wait till it heals,
to wait till it's quiet,
to wait till it helps reflect

i learned this,
to let go and take heart
not to give up hope

when it's the only thing left
for no matter how pitch black it gets
brilliant sun should shine again

that's how it goes
that's how it's always been
nothing has changed, ever

i used to dread the evening
for it was silent, darker
i used to fear the dusk, the unknown

but i knew this
that at one moment, the sun will shine again
and it's daybreak

daybreak will be here
maybe not now, it won't tarry
but very soon
