A street outreach perspective
He is out there
I am in here
He is in the cold
I am in warmth
What will I discover in the morning
Will he be alive or dead
The number read 16 when I left him.
I lay restless in my warm room
The number is 9 with a chill of 2!
The dawn approaches as I race to get back to him as the cold is sharp and so am I
The scooter races through the quiet morning the cold cutting through my light jacket
Approaching his tent I call out to him twice for a split second….
Then I hear his voice thrilled to see me I call out come on get in here! As I guide him to safety this time we were lucky the cold did not win!
