When the subconscious asks a question.
38 lines

Shadow Work asked me,
What are you afraid of?
I couldn’t answer.

Instead I whispered,
It’s a Secret

It’s There, A Waiting Shadow
Spoke the Light, Let me See it.
No. I answered. I can’t.

Is it animal, plant or mineral?

It’s alive, I’m sure.

Let’s try again,
Who are you afraid of?
Then the Secret Rustled

See I whispered
It moves and breathes

We’ll find it together
Promised the Light.
No. I answered. I won’t

Is it male or female?

Neither, I’m sure.

Shadow Work asked,
Has the Light ever
Seen the Secret?

Yes, I said a little bolder
Before it hid away

Then together we three
Will find the Secret and
The Light will Heal it

Promise, I asked

Promise they said

Be Brave, Show us now
Before it leaves and is
Lost forever

I’ll try, I replied

Light cast her Healing Light and
Shadow Work sighed

All better now?

Yes, The Secret has died.
