Poem that draws a parallel between the fear of the dark and the anxiety upon meeting 'her'
Once it plunges in,
Fear sets in,
As if she the one,
Sitting across the bar,
A moment to be won,
Dimming lights and brimming fear,
Some brushing over my hand,
Her loving hands or a slithering misery?
“Are you withery?”
“No” nods the howdy doody,
With the marionette tied naughty,
For all in the darkness remains unseen,
But the fear seen,
On her eyes serene,
Waiting for the slithers,
To glitter.
