A poem for Picture Poems book
I once had a holiday home
Where my Husband and I
liked to roam.
It was our little But and Ben
Where we went now and then

A pretty cottage
With roses around the gate,
A lovely little place
to rest from life's fast pace/

Long walks in the warm air
We were such a happy pair.
Now I go alone
God has called you home

Roses still adorn around the gate
Where I stand and wait
To see you call for me
and take me home for eternity.
