I said some things that ended all of it
We were onto something
I acted a fool, now there is nothing
Now all I do is long for your voice and the squint of your eyes
Now all I remember is the shit I said that caused our demise
I had my chance, we came close a couple of times
"Come back"
You texted that night
"Had I seen this text"
Where I left it that night
I had my chance, should've held on tight
A couple of touches to make things right
Tried to treat you like all the others
While you were always going to be different
I said some things without a buffer
It could've been great, I could have made your shit glitter
Instead I ran my mouth, no filter

We were onto something
I acted a fool, now there's nothing
Got me reminiscing
Thinkin' of cuffing
Maybe there wasn't much of anything
I see you, girl
You been bluffing

All I wanted was for you to shine under low lights
All I wanted was for you to hit me up on those late nights
1:45 AM, barely alive
Come back and make me to do it all over again
Because that's what you wanted, evidence
Ever since, that day on campus, pure elegance
You keep them thirstin', never quenched
All we do is be textin', never physical
You smile when I call you babe, empirical
Got me in your bedroom, thought that was meditated
Uncharted, the energy we created
Then I said some things
That ended all of it
