Remembering the simpler times.
Remember When

There was a day
That seems so far away.

A time in the distant past
Where we didn’t rush so fast.

Friends were steadfast and true
Even when you were bluer than blue.

God forbid you were late for dinner
And a loser was still a winner.

Parents were conservative
Children remained imaginative.

Marriage vows were sacred
Just like Mom’s homemade bread.

People reached out to others
And no bond was stronger than brothers.

Dad worked hard each day
But still found the time to play.

Life wasn’t such a rat race
And everything moved at a slower pace.

Family bonds remained strong
And there was a clean line between right and wrong.

I smile when I remember back when
Life was so much simpler then.
