Smoke Rings

Smoke rings rise high
Into the darkened sky
A signal sent above
Floating like a dove.

A wisp of soft white
To the Spirit’s delight
An offering of peace
Of sadness to release.

Gentle waves float away
Above the deep red clay
To the One Who Sees All
Help us not to fall.

Smoke rings waft with the wind
Disappearing as it’s thinned
A signal sent high above
Help us show our love.
