Fire represents the past.
I Walk On Coals of Fire

I walk on coals of fire.
Each step burns my memories,
heated blisters of my past.

Whispers of black smoke steal my breath,
leaving me parched for cool forgiveness.

Singed by passion’s hearth of desires,
I need a salve of soothing love.

I walk on coals of fire,
until You reach into the flame,
pulling me to blessed freedom.
