The boy on the hill

There was a boy sitting upon a hill watching time fly by, his only Company was the full moon and his shadow. The boy couldn't of been more than five years old but he was alone in the world, he had no friends, no family, no home and no name. he was truly alone, until one day a girl saw the boy sitting on the hill all alone she ran up the hill towards the boy. The boy had noticed the girl running at him but he simply didn't care. The girl got to the boy and asked "why do you look so sad? where's your parents?" The Boy replied "I don't have any." The girl replied with "everyone has parents silly, my name is Jessica what's yours?" The boy said "I don't have one I've always been alone." The girl sat next to the boy and holds the boys hand and says "your not alone I'm here silly and if you don't have a name then I'll just give you one." The boy was shocked and didn't know what to say or do. The girl not waiting for a reply named the boy Adam. The boy now named Adam said "Adam I like it." Adam turned to Jessica and smiled for the first time, she noticed that Adams eyes were bright red but didn't mind she said "wow your eyes are beautiful." and smiled back at Adam. It was time for Jessica to go home and she asked "where do you live?" Adam said "here on this hill."
Jessica looked at him and said "then come with me I'll talk my mom and dad in to letting you live with us." Adam was shocked but in a good way, a feeling he didn't quite understand was taking over. Jessica pulled Him to his feet and dragged him home with her, Jessica's parents were waiting at the door for her return, Jessica's mother was the first to realize that she was bring home a new friend, her first friend in the new area after moving from Salem Massachusetts so they were eager to meet this new friend of hers, as Jessica and Adam got closer to the house her parents noticed Adams eyes and was a little freaked out but she tried not to show it. They reached the door now and proceeded to ask "who's your new friend Jessica?" This is Adam said Jessica. Jessica's mother looked at Adam and said "Hello Adam I'm Jessica's mom Catherine its nice to meet you, do you need a ride home?" Umm mom Adam doesn't have a home or a family said Jessica. Catherine looked at Adam and asked if that was true, Adam said yea. Well I guess we're going to have to wait for Jessica's dad to get home to figure out what to do next, I can't let you sleep out side. A few hours passed by the time her dad finally arrived in that time Catherine was learning all she could by asking Adam and Jessica about the situation, when Jessica's dad Rick walked in he immediately noticed Adam and introduced himself, then Catherine pulled him into another room and closed the door so the kids couldn't hear them, then proceeded to tell him everything she had learned and asked him what they should do, Rick decided that they'll go down to the police station In the morning to find out what happened to his family and find the real name of the boy their daughter has named Adam. They couldn't let him sleep outside though, so they let him sleep in the Guest room. The next morning Catherine and Rick woke up early to head down to the police station to get some information on the boy, they went to check on the kids to see if they were awake, they both were sound asleep so they just decided to leave them at home but took a picture of the boy to give the officer a look of the boy. They proceeded to head to the car, they were about half-mile from the police station when their car was hit by an out of control truck killing them both instantly. Jessica woke up and went looking through the house for her parents trying not to wake Adam up. She finds a note on the fridge that read "going to get groceries and find out more about Adam there's breakfast in the fridge just worm up in the microwave for 1:30 minutes we'll be back in a couple of hours love mom and dad." Jessica went to go wake up Adam but he was already up and was watching tv with a scared and horrified look, when Jessica saw what he was looking at she dropped to the floor crying on the tv was the news report of the accident that killed her parents. Adam stood up and walked over to her and put his arms around her trying his best to make her feel better but to no avail. Jessica yelled "why did you leave me alone mommy and daddy?" Adam said "you're not alone you have me and I won't leave you ever I promise." Jessica stopped crying long enough to though her arms around him, then started crying into his shoulder until the local police came by to check the house.the officer noticed the two kids sitting in front of the TV crying he had them gather things that they want to take with them for Adam that took no time at all but for Jessica it was harder after all her parents were just killed she had no idea what to do but at least she knew she wasn't alone she has Adam now. Jessica rejoined Adam and the police officer by the door. The officer felt uneasy around Adam almost like he knew something about him. They drive to the police station not the same route that her parents took, it was a four hour drive and they where an hour in before the cop asked Adam about his eyes. Adam replied "they weren't always like this I remember when they were blue." The cop didn't know what to say so there was no talking the rest of the trip. They finally made it to the police station where they both were questioned about other family Adam had none and it turns out that Jessica has family in New York and she'll be sent there while Adam is being sent to some foster family in California they where all scared of Adam so they couldn't of been happier to watch him get dragged away hopefully never to return Jessica tried to stop them from taking him away but she was not strong enough Adam was terrified about being alone again but before the fear took Over he swore to find Jessica agin. Thirteen years passed they both are eighteen now. Adam started working so he could raise money to head to New York to see Jessica again. Everyone in the town knew his name by heart, he's helped everyone at least once. He was no longer the scared little kid he once was, but still doesn't remember anything before Jessica, as he got older he got more curious but he could never find anything. By now he had enough money to get to New York but he was afraid that Jessica had forgotten all about him. So before he went to find her he wanted to learn about himself meaning there's only one place he can go for that. He has to go back to the town in Colorado where he met Jessica, Adam has been having nightmares about that place ones he could not explain, he finally set his mind to go there. Roughly he had $10,000 to get there witch was more than enough, the next day he started heading to the first place he called home in hopes to find his lost memories. He arrived at the town around 3 in the morning and decided to get a motel room. He pulled in to the first one he saw , he parked and walked in the door to get a room but there was no one there. He saw a bell that said ring for Service so he rang it then he heard a noise behind reluctantly he looked and saw nothing but when he looked back there was a key on the counter and a pice of paper saying $25 a night he put $25 on the counter and walked away. Attached to the key was a pice of paper that had #5 on it so he assumed his room was number five.He opened the door and was shocked, it looked as if someone was killed in the room there where blood stains on the floor and walls he didn't want to stay here any more, he returned to the office to give the key back and get a refund. He walked into the office and it looked like no one was in their for at least ten years. There was cobwebs and dust everywhere. Adam was confused but returned the key and returned to his car then he remembered that he still had a key to Jessica's old house, Adam decided if no one was living their then he would stay there for a while. Adam drove to the house and noticed it was abandoned so he parked. But instead of going in the house something made him go back to the hill. that hill was his first memory it took him two hours to walk to the hill for a second he thought he saw a boy sitting on top of the hill. He ran to the top of the hill and started looking for the boy, he noticed a figure running into a nearby forest. Something compelled Adam to follow the figure, Adam started running after the "boy". He ran for what seemed like hours, he finally caught up to the boy. The boy pointed to his left, Adam looked and saw a cabin off in the distance for some reason it looked familiar to him. Adam turned back to the boy but he was gone. Adam Walked to the cabin instinctively, he took a step on the porch and opened the door. There was a family picture to his right. He picked up the picture and looked at it, he was so shocked by what was in the picture he dropped the picture on the floor and the glass frame shattered on impact. "That's me." He said out loud, Adam went further into the cabin he came upon a room that was partly open. He entered the room and saw something so horrible that caused he to puke violently and run out of the house, Adam didn't want to go back in the house but he knew he had to so he can learn more about his past. He went in far enough to grab the picture which had something written on the back " family picture, mother: Rachel, father: James, oldest son: Markus, youngest son: Kevin".
Adam decided he had to go to the other rooms, but first he had to prepare himself for what he might see. The first room he went into belonged to a little kid, he saw toys scattered around the floor and a twin sized bunk bed. His first thought was this must have been my room, but was I the older brother or the younger? Adam noticed something strange sticking out of the closet, he walked over and opened the door and feel backwards at the site of a body of a small child hiding inside. Adam knew it was his brother but noticed that it hasn't even started to decay except for the part of the hand that was sticking out of the door. The boys neck was cut open as if someone took a knife and cut his throat open, but that wasn't the worst part someone gutted him but there was no blood not even dried blood. Adam couldn't stand the sight of it anymore and he closed the door, then decided that's enough for one night. Adam got back to the house to find another car pulling in the drive way, it was Jess. Adam hurried to meet her as she got out of her car. Adam started yelling "Jessica, hey Jess." Jess turned around to see Adam running at her, she instantly recognized him and started crying tears of joy.
