This is a story that might just save a life.
I am writing this for you
In the hopes that you might see,
That love can save a life
Just like it did for me.

This story isn't normal
But it is totally the truth,
It’s the story of a girl
Who had a choice to choose.

Her choices led to actions,
For her actions she would pay,
She found herself alone
With a baby on the way.

They said that they could help her,
That It was gonna be okay,
It would all be over soon
‘Cause they’d take those cells away.

It sounded almost tempting
‘Cause those people had a plan,
But could she end her baby’s life,
Before it even began?

Her love overcame her fear
And she decided to be brave,
‘Cause her life was gonna change,
But her baby’s would be saved.

And though her heart was breaking
She chose the hardest option,
Still too young to be a mom
She decided on adoption.

She found amazing parents
Who would love her as their own,
They'd raise her with more love
Than the world has ever known.

After nine long months of waiting
She brought her baby in the world,
And she knew her choice was right
First time she saw her baby girl.

She had amazing strength and love,
I hope I'll get that from her;
Cause that girl whose love saved a life
Well, she was my birth mother.

I am the unborn baby,
That it is okay to kill,
But do I really seem to you
Like just a clump of cells?

When you hear “it’s a woman’s choice”
Ask what the baby would choose;
I can answer for the lives
The world should never lose.
