A sad, lonely poem
Miles and miles of loneliness

In which I wander just

trying to quench my never ending thirst

Now at the edge of reason,

trying to forget all the treason

The cliff seems steep but not as much as my pain below

Every teardrop that falls on my rose

Will tell the story of that night

When I pleaded you not to go

Through my words, I reveal my soul

My life's become a barren tree

ripping apart my spirit inside

Can't you feel my longing heart

all alone as I lie beneath the branches

under a silvery moon that shines only for you

In your memories I carry my tears of sorrow

I ache for an eternity with you

Come back, my dearest

The jagged painful path seems far too long

Stones they feel much too harsh on my trudging feet

The horizon paints a dimming light

Come back to dance with me once more,

To whisper the lullaby of love

Sweet and careless as they get

Like every other day, I will search

for an emptiness in abundance

walking in limbo for the rest of my life

Sympathy is but a petal beneath the thorns

words are spoken to berate

But mine are to liberate
